DROELOE.

DROELOE: ¡Estoy bien ahora!

WOLOLO SOUND: Thank you Vincent for talking with us in this exclusive interview for Wololo Sound, it is an honor. Let’s start with an easy question: How are you? How has DROELOE experienced a situation like this pandemic?

DROELOE: I’m doing great now! But it definitely has been rough, like it has been for so many people around the world. Luckily I’m personally doing way better than I have been doing for a while. I’d describe this period as filled with a lot of personal evolution, and going through a change like that tends to take up a lot of headspace.

WS: DROELOE started as a trio, then you and Heins stayed, and now only you, Vincent, remain as head of the project. It must have been a very big change; how do you manage the project individually?

D: I’m very aware that I am now solely responsible for what happens in the world of DROELOE, but luckily my vision of what it should be is getting stronger by the day and it is still a team effort like it was before. My management and I work together closely and it’s going great!!

WS: In 2021 we have seen very little of DROELOE release-wise, just a remix of ‘The Table’ by Emitt Fenn. What have you been up to during this year? What can we expect for 2022?

D: So the pandemic situation combined with all the turmoil in my personal life have prevented me from making music that I liked for a while, so I wish I was able to say that there is already an album lined up, but I can’t. But I have been more productive this last half year and I am actually super excited for what I am working on right now. I’m actually dropping a new track on Friday “Strangers” so I’m excited for you all to hear it! As for the rest of 2022? You can expect more music and even more stories.

WS: With the return to normality, you have announced the dates of a tour of Europe. What are you the most excited about? What would you say to anyone wondering what will they see in this new ‘Unexpected Odyssey’ live show?

D: I’m personally most excited to have a party with fans again. Meeting you all gives me a lot of energy! Apart from that, I’m going to play a lot of my own music combined with edits and custom transitions.

D: Aún no puedo desvelar nada. 😉

WS: You have always taken great care of both the shows and your image as an artist. In fact, with ‘A Matter Of Perspective’ we were all impressed, not only with the album itself but with everything that surrounded the project (the digital museum, the vinyl edition, the images…). What changes can we expect on this new “solo version” of DROELOE?

D: I can’t really say yet. ?
