Down, down, down’.

Entrevista a MEDUZA / Interview with MEDUZA:

Wololo Sound: ¡Hola, chicos!

Wololo Sound: Hey, guys! It is a pleasure for us to talk with the creators of one of the biggest hits of the summer (and of the year). Many people have listened and sung to your ‘Piece Of Your Heart’, but they may not know you as artists. How would you three introduce yourselves individually? How and why was MEDUZA born?

MEDUZA: I [Matt] DJ/play our music out in clubs and at shows and I am also an executive producer in the trio. Luca and Simone work hard at creating the sound of MEDUZA through original productions and remixes. And all three of us together create/perform live. We are all very passionate about underground house/dance music. We believe in building the sound of MEDUZA in this direction, we believe in putting house back on the radio.

WS: MEDUZA is a really young project, with less than a year of activity. Which has been the clue to have such a big impact just with your first single?

M: We worked hard together at making music, playing to our best ability in shows, and also working with positive, like-minded, and driven people including our team, label, and agents. There is no secret ingredient or weapon to being succesful – we just believe in our music and put our heads together to make it happen.

WS: Even if you have created a really catchy track and with certain relation with Pop, we have also seen you a couple of Techy oriented remixes. In which genre are you going to focus on your forthcoming tracks?

M: We all come from a house background and want to make the music accesible for both people who already enjoy house music and for those who may not have been introduced yet. Our next couple of releases and remixes lean more towards a techier side, but we will continue to release music that can also be enjoyed via the radio.

WS: Also, what kind of music can we find in your DJ sets?

M: We created this project and choose our music to tell a story – deep, melodic, and progressive groove… you will always hear these things in our sets!

WS: To end up: You have played in Wembley Stadium, you are going on tour all around America… However, being Milan natives we guess that you can’t wait to perform in some of the most iconic spots of your hometown. What about giving a show on San Siro or Piazza del Duomo?

M: Yes, absolutely! – we are very excited to perform at home. At the moment, we are performing in Rome in November and we can’t wait!
