Hoy, en Wololo Sound tenemos la suerte de charlar con uno de los principales culpables del estupendo estado de forma de esta nueva oleada, nada menos que el Golden Boy, Oguz. Desde sus inicios, motivaciones hasta como ve la escena y el futuro del género y de su propia carrera. ¡Al lío!
WS – Tu nombre ha crecido a pasos agigantados en solo 3 años, por lo que la primera pregunta es obligatoria. ¿Cómo has vivido este auge y cómo llevas que miles de personas conozcan tu nombre y reclamen tu presencia en todos los festivales?
Oguz: Hola a todos. En primer lugar, un millón de gracias por recibirme en Wololo Sound. Es emocionante estar aquí para esta entrevista en exclusiva. El viaje hasta ahora, tío, ha sido nada menos que una montaña rusa. En sólo tres años, he pasado de ser un soñador que se partía el culo para tener éxito a que mi nombre esté en boca de todos. ¿Manejar el cariño y las exigencias de miles de fans y festivales? Es una experiencia surrealista. No puedo expresarlo con palabras. Es como vivir en un sueño, ¿sabes? Pero es un testimonio del esfuerzo y el trabajo que he hecho, y estoy más que agradecido por todo el amor de mis fans. Ellos son los que me hacen seguir adelante, día tras día.
Your name has grown by leaps and bounds in just 3 years, so the first question is amust. How have you experienced this rise, and how do you handle that thousands of people know your name and ask for your presence in all festivals?
Oguz: Hey there! First off, thanks a million for having me at Wololo Sound. It’s exciting to be here for this exclusive interview. The journey so far, man, it’s been nothing short of a rollercoaster. In just three years, I’ve gone from being a dreamer who was busting his ass off to be successful to having my name on everyone’s lips. Handling the love and demands of thousands of fans and festivals? It’s a surreal experience. I can’t even put it into words. It’s like living in a dream, you know? But it’s a testament to the hustle and grind I’ve put in, and I’m beyond grateful for all the love from my fans. They’re the ones who keep me going, day in and day out.
WS – El hard-techno, los estilos más agresivos y tus enérgicos sets, son algunas de las claves del éxito de Oguz. ¿Qué opinas de la escena actual y de esta nueva ola rave?
Oguz – Hablando de la escena, ahora mismo está que arde, no cabe duda. Las vibraciones hard-techno, los ritmos agresivos y mis sets llenos de energía… se trata de esa energía cruda y sin adulterar que te golpea en las entrañas. Me siento como en una nueva ola, y es un subidón sin igual. Es como aprovechar algo primario, algo que hace que la gente se mueva, y de eso se trata para mí.
Hard-techno, the most aggressive styles and your energetic sets, are some of the keys of Oguz’s success. What do you feel about the current scene and this new rave wave?
Oguz – Talking about the scene, right now, it’s on fire, no doubt about it. The hard-techno vibes, the aggressive beats, and my high-energy sets—it’s all about that raw, unadulterated energy that hits you in the gut. I feel like I’m riding this new wave, and it’s a rush like no other. It’s like tapping into something primal, something that gets people moving, and that’s what it’s all about for me.
WS – Muchos piensan que todo es cíclico y que pronto la gente demandará otro tipo de ritmos. ¿Cuál es tu opinión?
Oguz – Has mencionado que las tendencias musicales siguen ciclos, y tienes razón. Los gustos de la gente cambian como el viento, y eso es lo que hace que este juego siga siendo apasionante. Siempre he sido flexible, he evolucionado con los tiempos y he superado los límites. Así que cuando llegue la próxima ola, estaré ahí, listo para cabalgarla.
Many people think that everything is cyclical and that soon people will demand other kinds of beats. What is your opinion?
Oguz – You mentioned how music trends go in cycles, and you’re spot on. People’s tastes shift like the wind, and that’s what keeps this game exciting. I’ve always been about staying flexible, evolving with the times, and pushing boundaries. So when the next wave comes, I’ll be right there, ready to ride it.
WS – ¿Te imaginas produciendo otro tipo de música? Si hablamos de Oguz tenemos que hablar del éxito viral GOLDEN SZN. ¿Alguna vez creíste que tendría tanto éxito?
Oguz – En lo que respecta a mi música, nunca me he ceñido a una sola línea. Me gusta experimentar con diferentes sonidos y vibraciones. Por ejemplo, “GOLDEN SZN”. ¿Alguna vez pensé que explotaría así? Sinceramente, no. Fue una sorpresa agradable, por no decir otra cosa, y sin duda las redes sociales han desempeñado un papel enorme en la expansión de “GOLDEN SZN” y de mi música en general. Han revolucionado la forma en que los artistas conectan con su público y comparten su música. El lanzamiento de “GOLDEN SZN” fue como encender una mecha. Las redes sociales fueron la chispa que encendió la explosión. Me permitieron llegar a fans y oyentes de todos los rincones del planeta en un instante. El tema empezó a correr como la pólvora, y todo gracias al poder de las redes sociales.
Do you figure yourself out producing other kind of music? If we talk about Oguz we have to talk about the viral hit GOLDEN SZN. Did you ever think it would succeed like this?
Oguz – Now, when it comes to my music, I’ve never been one to stick to a single lane. I’m all about experimenting with different sounds, different vibes. Take “GOLDEN SZN,” for example. Did I ever think it would blow up like that? Honestly, no. It was a pleasant surprise, to say the least and without a doubt social networks have played a massive role in the expansion of “GOLDEN SZN” and my music in general. They’ve revolutionised the way artists connect with their audience and share their music.
When “GOLDEN SZN” dropped, it was like lighting a fuse. Social media platforms provided the spark that ignited the explosion. They allowed me to reach fans and listeners from all corners of the globe in an instant. The track started spreading like wildfire, and it was all thanks to the power of social networking.
WS – ¿Cómo cree que han contribuido las redes sociales a la expansión de este tema?
Oguz – Plataformas como Instagram, Twitter y TikTok han proporcionado a los fans una línea directa conmigo, y no puedo exagerar la importancia de esa conexión. No se trata solo de compartir música, sino de crear una comunidad, un ambiente, un movimiento. Los fans podían compartir sus experiencias con el tema, producir sus vídeos de baile y compartir su amor por la música con el mundo.
How do you think social networks have contributed to the expansion of this track?
Oguz – Platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok have given fans a direct line to me, and I can’t overstate the importance of that connection. It’s not just about sharing music; it’s about creating a community, a vibe, a movement. Fans could share their experiences with the track, create their dance videos, and share their love for the music with the world.
WS – Volviendo al día de hoy, te hemos visto muy proactivo en el estudio este verano. ¿Qué camino estás intentando seguir en estos últimos trabajos y cómo está siendo el feedback?
Oguz – Últimamente, estoy encerrado en el estudio, echando horas y probando cosas nuevas. Siempre tengo ganas de subir de nivel y ser creativo. Los comentarios sobre mis últimos temas han sido alucinantes. Es como volcar tu alma en la música y ver que la gente la escucha… Es lo máximo para un artista.
Back to today, we’ve seen you very proactive in the studio this summer. Which way are you trying to follow in these latest works and how is the feedback going?
Oguz – Lately, I’ve been locked in the studio, putting in the hours and trying out new stuff. I’m always hungry to level up and get creative. The feedback on my recent tracks has been nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s like pouring your soul into the music, and then seeing it resonate with people—that’s the ultimate high for an artist.
WS – De alguna manera, ¿te ves como uno de los líderes de toda una generación de artistas? ¿Qué otros jóvenes djs le llaman la atención en este momento?
Oguz – En cuanto a ser líder de esta nueva generación de artistas, es una idea que me hace sentir humilde. Siempre he creído que hay que superar los límites e inspirar a los demás para que hagan lo mismo. Los jóvenes DJ y productores de ahora tienen un talento increíble. Están superando los límites y me encanta su entusiasmo. Es un momento emocionante para la música electrónica y estoy deseando ver adónde nos lleva esta nueva generación.
Somehow, do you see yourself as one of the leaders of a whole generation of artists? What other young djs are catching your attention at the moment?
Oguz – As for being a leader of this new generation of artists, it’s a thought that humbles me. I’ve always believed in pushing boundaries and inspiring others to do the same. There’s some insane talent out there among the young DJs and producers right now. They’re pushing the envelope, and I’m digging their hustle. It’s a thrilling time for electronic music, and I’m excited to see where this new generation takes it.
WS – Finalizando: OGUZ en España es sinónimo de éxito. Os hemos visto varias veces en Blackworks y este noviembre estaréis en FABRIK. ¿Qué esperas de este show? ¿Cómo se ve al público español desde los platos?
Oguz – Ahora, hablemos de España. España es como mi segunda casa. El público español sabe cómo calentar el ambiente y la energía es de otro nivel. Cada vez que subo a ese escenario, es como volver a casa. Estoy deseando ir a FABRIK este noviembre. Espero una noche salvaje, un viaje sónico y una profunda conexión con la familia española desde los platos. Va a ser algo fuera de serie, y estoy contando los días.

Oguz – Now, let’s talk about Spain. Man, Spain is like a second home to me. The Spanish crowd knows how to bring the heat, and the energy is next level. Every time I step onto that stage, it’s like a homecoming. I can’t wait to hit up FABRIK this November. I’m expecting a wild night, a sonic journey, and a deep connection with the Spanish fam from the decks. It’s gonna be off the hook, and I’m counting down the days.
